November 5, 2014

November 5, 2014 is the schedule of caravan to the three churches at Magpet, Cotabato.  The three churches are MAGKAALM CHURCH OF CHRIST, KINARUM CHURCH OF CHRIST, and KISANDAL CHURCH OF CHRIST.  The purpose of this activity is to encourage the brethren by the WORD OF GOD, to know their needs, to pray and help them grow in their faith to God.

Bro. Samuel Villacencio and I leave Davao on November 5, 2014 at around 3:00am to be at the Magkaalam Church of Christ because our schedule in this church is 6:00AM to 9:00AM.  Kinarum Church of Christ 10AM to 1:00PM, and 2:00PM to 5:00PM.  With God’s guidance and protection we’ve reached Magkaalam at 6:10AM.

The activity was opened with our coffee fellowship because the area is very cold coffee is the best thing to do first.  After coffee we started to sing songs of praise to God.  Message in word by Bro. Bastida.  The presider collected all the prayer requests of the members of Magkaalam and we had our session for their prayer requests.  The program lasts for almost two hours.  The remaining one hour is being used in talking and fellowshipping together.  They prepared a banana as our snacks.

At exactly 9:00AM we proceed to KINARUM Church of Christ, it took an hour travel from Magkaalam, because the road is not quietly good even it is not too far from each other Bro. Charles was assigned to encourage the brethren with the words of God.  The same flow of program.  During prayer time it was brought out that one of the members (one of the official carpenter of our building team) had a motorcycle accident two days before the scheduled caravan.  We prayed for them because according to the members that wife was admitted to the hospital of kidapawan City,  We had also our offering as help for them and we’ve given an amount as help for their medical assistance.  We had our lunch fellowship in the area.

At exactly 1:00PM we proceed again to KISANDAL Church of Christ, on our way to Kisandal Bro. Jonathan Ingay count all the motorcycles who joined the caravan and it reached to 56 motorcycles all had back rides, some two and the other three back rides.  On our way to Kisandal Church some motorcycles got engine problems but we had an official technician.  At Kisandal our seminarian Bro. Rey Martinez of level one is the preacher. The same flow of program from the two churches.  We prayed to all of their prayer request,  after the program one of the church leaders of that church requested us to go to the house of the sick woman to pray for her.  All the 56 motorcycle went to the house of that woman and all the leaders went inside and prayed for her while the group is also praying outside of her house.  We also gave medicine assistance to her because she cannot buy her maintenance medicines.

After our prayer we separate ways with the group.  The group went to the direction of Magpet while Bro. Samuel and I went to the direction of Kidapawan because it was a short cut direction to Davao.  Ten minutes after we separate ways a very hard rain fell down,  from Kidapawan City until Davao City we experienced difficulty in our travel because it was already dark and Bro. Samuel has difficulty in his vision in the dark, but again glory to God because He deliver us home safe and sound in a very memorable experience because we became a blessing to them and they became a blessing to us also and above all God blessed us all.
